Just when one might have assumed Colbert had hit rock bottom, he finds a new low. Apparently the propaganda that replaced a long gone tradition of Late Night comedy wasn’t quite pointed enough. As an unfolding horror show of major injuries and mass death gives way to new requirements for a third “booster” shot to resume with access to one’s daily rights of passage into theaters, restaurants, sporting events, travel or even a Starbucks, nothing could be more satisfying for a fully “vaccinated” live TV audience than the gayety of dancing needles.
