You might have noticed you don’t hear “my body my choice” chants by the left in spite of the success of this simple four word slogan in advancing the abortion agenda. One can only wonder if they find that wording inconvenient to the modern priority to force shots on neighbors and their children for a “greater,” (collective) “good.”
Just as a larger public have long been trained to terminate discussion with shouts of “conspiracy theory” when subjects are broached that suggest that not all in power are entirely benevolent, presently any who dare ask questions about the quality, frequency, effectiveness and even medical choice are readily dismissed as “Anti-Vax” and therefore “ignorant, brainwashed,” or even accused of a dubious longing to see a reemergence of Polio and lives destroyed.
The medical discipline of immunology, the practice of inoculation and modern vaccination protocols and programs are complicated subjects. And whereas most parents are simply too exhausted attending to what seem like other, more pressing matters, will often swiftly discard any apprehension knowing that it’s basically what “everyone does” and for some of these, the absence of choice, makes it emotionally easier to just shrug and accept an ever expanding list of shots that ultimately become a new normal.
Rather than attempting to tackle the very big subject of the science, and health aspects of vaccination here, I’ll stick to an equally (if not more) important philosophical and ethical issue of what most of us know simply as “informed consent.”
With the help of Communists like California Senator Richard Pan, “informed consent” is not longer much of “a thing” and many other States have endured the destruction of patient rights and a institutional betrayal of Hippocratic Oath. As most know that’s what all licensed medical practitioners swear before attending to their first patient and it’s a promise to place each individual patients needs and trust above any external pressures or real or perceived collective good.
I’ll assume some might not immediately accept that mandatory shots and “greater good” collectivism in medicine as a betrayal of that Oath, but the nefarious Rahm Emmanuel has an equally nefarious brother. And that Ezekiel Emmanuel has literally been working on a dubious plot to change the Hippocratic Oath to make “greater good” and “collective” health the priority over individual patients.
As much as collectivism is destructive to economic life and the balance of life’s liberties, putting “greater good” ahead of the individual, the patient sitting in front of and seeking treatment from his or her own doctor, amounts to an utter destruction of the trust that was crucial to any patient doctor relationship. And forcing risky shots with a known collateral destruction of health for some with the notion that it benefits others is more than just a “slippery slope.”
What’s more is that the betrayal of the true Hippocratic Oath represented by mandatory shots has expanded with a network of obstacles to work and education. California Schools now offer NO “informed consent” exemptions to current and ever expanding lists of required vaccinations to attend school. Once those requirements are met, new barriers are set at the 7th grade for often dangerous TDAP shots. And now the University of California forces more shots for students that now are required obscure, scarcely available, expensive, and potentially dangerous meningitis shots. But no worry. These are only required if you’re living in the dorms… oh, and by-the-way, all Freshmen (at least at UC Davis where a family member is enrolled) are in turn forced to stay in the dorm to take their first year classes. Bottom line, some tyrannically inclined school administrator gets to play their own game of #SHOTNAZI.
WHY DO THE LEFT BELIEVE SHOTS SHOULD BE MANDATED?
The prevailing argument is that “some people CANNOT tolerate vaccination” because of poor health, and therefore those presumed in “good health” must accept whatever risks of their own loss of health to protect those the shots are guaranteed to harm. And this is purported to provide those sickly subjects protection indirectly via the theory of “herd immunity.”
Not all immunologists nor doctors fully buy into the “herd immunity” theory, but many do. However, nobody that’s not sneaking pills out of the pharmacy after hours could be so inane as to believe “herd immunity” could be expected to work without a periodic closing of the “barn gates.” And when you combine the leftist’s other passion, namely Open Borders with Shot Mandates, you’re simply trading Hippocratic Oath, doctor patient relationship, and the health and even lives of health men, women and children for an imaginary benefit to a neighbor’s sickly children.
On what level does that make any sense? (Not a rhetorical question… please offer whatever you might to the comments below.)
