The left are programmed to deploy one of two rather opposite talking points to avoid or control any discussion concerning a real or imagined crime. In the case of the latter, demands for more “investigation,” are defended with statements framed as a question, like “what are you hiding?” “If nothing wrong was done, shouldn’t you welcome more investigation?”

In contrast, any investigation that looks into crimes by their own party are treated as toxic, and even “illegal election interference.”

When the American Left was still just getting started they openly described their own version of the Islamic tradition of Taqiyya, a specific state of circumstances where lying and deception were permitted if not encouraged by the Quran, as “lying for justice.”

The left draws many techniques and attitudes from Islam, so their clear and ongoing alliance is born of much common ground.

Whereas it didn’t require much adjustment for the average leftist to make lying more of a daily habit, the result of constant practice has engrained this so deeply into the psyche of the leftist mind, that the pronouncement of any form of truth requires a special, conscious and typically uncomfortable effort.

The fantasy of an “unbiased source” is quite an obsession with the category of person that’s tightly programmed by what they deem as “reliable sources.” The only real option to someone limiting their exposure to “unbiased” might be CSPAN where cameras are merely placed and whatever happens in the room presented less any narration. With this approach the only “bias” might be in camera angle and any supplemental lighting.
